DR. BHARGAB JYOTI SAHARIAH
Welcome to the Institute of Pharmacy (NIPS) which was established in the year 2017 at NEMCARE Group of Institutions under the flagship of NEMCARE Foundation. From the very beginning NIPS has dedicated itself towards quality education and always try to develop competent individuals who are socially sensitive and committed to excel globally. The serene environment of NIPS facilitates us to achieve our goals.
NIPS has a glorious standing amongst the pharmacy colleges of this area within a short period of time and gradually NIPS is thriving hard to evolve as the most reputed pharmacy college of India. NIPS is a result oriented college with excellent track record of toppers in the university exams. At NIPS the students are expected to have an inspiring and life-turning experience that will motivate them to shine globally and make them sharp to grab the opportunities in life. We promote the enhancement of skills and develop a practical oriented approach for educating the students. The faculties are the backbone of NIPS who have excellent knowledge-based proficiency and are well trained with current developments in their expertise fields. They are the mentors of the students and supervise the students in every vicinity whether its academics or co-curricular activities.
Further at NIPS, we try to bridge the gap between corporate and academics to make our students job-ready. We organize guest lectures of eminent personalities of the pharmacy field routinely and promote the participation of our students to participate in different seminars and symposiums to get acquainted with modern technology in pharmacy.
We at NIPS, give emphasis to regular counseling & feedback of students so that faculties can evaluate the progress of students and lead them accordingly on the way to achievement.

NETES Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (NIPS) was established in the Year 2017, is the flagship institute of NEMCARE Foundation envisaged and developed to be an institution defining the new profile of Pharmacy Education in the North Eastern region of the country. NIPS is recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Govt. of India, New Delhi and approved by The Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Assam ,Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences and Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati, Assam.
Approval & Affliation
BACHELOR OF PHARMACY (B.PHARM)
Currently the Pharmacy Education in India has undergone tremendous changes to meet the requirements Of pharmaceutical industries and community health practice at large. A Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is an undergraduate academic degree programme in the field Of Pharmacy. The degree is the basic prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist in many countries. The course enables the students to understand the properties and impacts of medicines, as well as the skills required to counsel the patients regarding the safe use of medicines.
B. Pharm graduates can build their career as in several areas. They can play the roles as Industrial Pharmacist (Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Packaging departments); Hospital & Community Pharmacist (Dispensing the medicines and counselling the patients); Marketing, Sales & Distribution Executives (Detailing to doctors and bulk distribution of medicines); Academic Pharmacist (training Diploma in Pharmacy students); Medical underwriter; Drug Safety Associates and Drug Inspector.
A B. Pharm graduate can pursue Post-graduation studies in various disciplines like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy , Pha rmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis etc. and establish the career in Academics, Research and regulatory affairs.


DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY (D.PHARM)
The Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) is the basic course Of Pharmacy Education which enables to meet the requirements of community and hospital. When the profession Of Pharmacy was developed in the country way back in 1960s, there was a demand for the qualified pharmacists, a short version of Pharmacy program
namely Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) was developed and offered to the students with SSLC/Xth qualification. Later, in 1990s, the minimum qualification for admission in to D. Pharm programme was raised to PUC/Pre-degree/IO+2. Thus a large number Of students persuaded their interest in the profession of Pharmacy through the programme and registered themselves are Pharmacists. These registered Pharmacists are primarily engaged as either community or hospital Pharmacists. After D. Pharm, the students can pursue higher studies by joining B. Pharm programme. We at NIPS, Mirza provide the quality education to provide the updated knowledge for profession of Pharmacy.
