B.Sc. Microbiology

Duration : 4 Years

Eligibility : H.S. Pass (Science)

Microbiology is the study of the biology of microscopic organisms - viruses, bacteria, algae, fungi, slime molds, and protozoa. These tiny, largely unicellular creatures are studied and handled in different ways than most other biological investigations. Maintaining food, water, and energy security for a healthy people on a habitable earth are just a few of the many present global objectives and concerns that microbiology research has been and continues to be essential in addressing. Graduates in microbiology have opportunities for employment in government, hospitals, public health laboratories, research laboratories, and industrial laboratories (food, dairy, chemical, pharmaceutical, and genetic engineering companies). Microbiologists in India can work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies. They may also be employed in industries such as food and beverage production, cosmetics, and environmental consulting.
