Symposium on Rational pharmaceutics and prescription skills
The Department of Pharmacology at NIPS, NGI, Guwahati, in association with “All Assam Pharmacist Service Association (AAPSA)” and the “Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)”, Assam State Branch, organized a one-day symposium on "Rational pharmaceutics and prescription skills" on March 20, 2024. Two eminent speakers, Dr. Bikash Medhi, Professor, Dept. of Pharmacology, PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Dr. Ajay Prakash, Associate Professor, Dept. of Pharmacology, PGIMER, Chandigarh, visited the NGI campus and delivered the talk on “Concept of Essentials and Quality of Medicine, Evaluating Prescription as Per WHO Criteria, and Pharmacovigilance." The symposium was held in both online and offline modes. Approximately 250 participants, including students and faculty from various institutions and working pharmacists across Assam, actively participated in the symposium. It was also graced by the presence of Mr. Sudhir Saha, General Secretary, AAPSA, and Mr. Rafiquz Zaman, Advisor, AAPSA. The symposium started with lamp lighting, followed by the welcoming speech of Dr. Bhargabjyoti Sahariah, Dean of Studies, NGI.
